Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation

Spray foundations sound slightly messy, and somewhat intimidating. At least that’s how I felt when I first got my hands on Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation.

As always, before you apply your foundation you should always make sure your skin is thoroughly moisturized. My favourite to prep my skin before I apply any makeup is Biotherm Aquasource Gel and I allow it to fully absorb into my skin!

Be sure to wear either a robe or something you’re not intending on wearing out while you’re getting ready, at times the fine mist does get onto your clothes! The first step is to shake the Airflash CC Primer can for a few seconds, then in a “Z” like motion on your face, holding the can about 8-10 inches away from your face. I’ve occasionally gotten it in my hairline, but I’ve been able to easily wipe it off with a towel. Using a foundation brush, the one I always use to stipple on my primers is an inexpensive synthetic brush from Elf Cosmetics, I then blend the primer and allow it a few minutes to fully mold into my skin.

In the same “Z” like motion, apply the foundation onto your skin. Attention fellow beauty bloggers, as implied it the name Airflash it does tend to dry in a flash, so be sure to pay attention when blending it out. Dior recommends using a foundation brush, I use a combination of both. Again I use my Sephora Collection PRO Airbrush , along with occasionally using my Smashbox Foundation Brush or a Sephora Collection PRO Foundation Brush, to further blend out minor imperfections. Dior recommends using their Backstage Buffing Brush which is intended to further blurr and blend in the contours of your face. I honestly haven’t purchased this piece yet primarily out of sheer laziness, but I fully intend to! I’ll be sure to report on that brush once I do!

This truly has to be one of the best foundations I have ever tried. Despite the price tag, I truly would recommend this to anyone who wants that airbrushed effect, as well as a buildable coverage. Diorskin Airflash’s light mist truly melts into your skin, creating a glowing, dewy finish, with very little work. Airflash CC Primer is also great for refreshing your look throughout the day!

To finish my look, I carry on with my general makeup routine. Don’t forget to always set your foundation! Have you tried Diorskin Airflash or is this a product you would try? Are there any similar products out there that you swear by? Let me know! I’d love to try something new. Thanks for reading new friends, can’t wait to continue checking out your blogs!

Until next time wild things,

Alejandra Fretes
